ROOFTOP PICTURES was founded by Mark Siegmund in 2024, to provide production service to international film productions planning to shoot in Korea, and Korean film productions planning to shoot outside Korea.

Mark Siegmund 시그문드 마크

During his over 20 years working in Korean film industry, Mark has gathered experience as production coordinator/fixer, production and location manager, researcher and translator for scripted and non-scripted content for big screen as well as TV. From 2007 to 2015, he was in charge of supporting international productions shooting in Seoul at Seoul Film Commission. In 2015, he joined the Korea Film Commissions & Industry Network to build up the international department there. From 2016, he was part of the BODA Media Group and its production service branch Cine Everywhere. From 2022 until 2023, Mark worked under the roof of Flying Tiger Pictures. He worked on projects for NETFLIX, HBO, Discovery Network, JTBC, MBC, arte, ZDF, NPO, YLE, BBC.

마크 시그문드는 한국 영화 산업에서 20년 넘게 일하며 영화와 TV, 다큐멘터리의 프로덕션 코디네이터와 로케이션 매니저, 리서쳐 및 번역가로 경력을 쌓아왔다. 2007년부터 2015년까지 서울영상위원회 해외사업팀 차장으로 근무하였고 2015년 한국영상위원회에 합류, 해외사업부를 신설하였다. 2016년부터는 보다 미디어 그룹과 해외 프로덕션 서비스 지사인 시네 에브리웨어에서 일하였고 2022년부터 2023년까지 플라잉 타이거 픽처스에서 활동하였다. 그는 넷플릭스, HBO, 디스커버리 네트워크, JTBC, MBC, arte, ZDF, NPO, YLE, BBC와 프로젝트를 진행하였다.

After majoring in space art and stage design in 2006, Summer worked as researcher, curator and project manager for museums, culture and art exhibitions. In 2023, she worked on the German documentary “South Korea: Natural Treasure” as researcher and production manager. She joined Rooftop Pictures in 2024.

대학에서 공간예술 및 무대 디자인 전공 후 문화 예술과 전시 분야에서 오랫동안 기획자로 일하였다. 2023년 독일 다큐멘터리 “South Korea: Natural Treasure”에 리서쳐와 프로덕션 매니저로 합류 후 2024년부터 영화사 옥상에서 일하기 시작하였다.

Working with Mark as our producer for two 45-minute documentaries on South Korea for Arte in 2023 was a delight. He was reliable, highly competent in terms of content, team-oriented, highly organized, cost-conscious, and always in a good mood. It couldn't have gone any better. We could never have managed four weeks of continuous filming across the entire country without him. Thanks to Mark, we were able to finish the shoot in Ireland for our JTBC drama Reflection of You safely and without much difficulty, despite the extremely challenging circumstances for overseas filming due to COVID in 2021.
